To keep your speed up, establish a well-defined area to run. You can do this by placing two traffic cones approximately ten yards apart. Sprint from the first cone to the second as quickly as possible and document your time. Work to beat that time everytime you show up. Doing these types of sprints help to increase takeoff speeds. Focus on improving your abilities leading with either side of your body. Most people favor one foot. However, if you can use your other leg more, you can outmaneuver opponents and move more quickly.
